My name is Rescue Ronnie, and I’m here to teach you how to stay safe on and around the water. And because we live on the Isle of Wight — an actual, proper, real-life island (with palm trees and everything!) — we’re surrounded by a lot of water.
Water that can be amazing fun, but also extremely powerful, unpredictable, and very dangerous.
The sea is brilliant when you know how to enjoy it safely and sensibly.
But if you don’t, you could suddenly find yourself in a lot of trouble and needing to be rescued — and trust me, preventing a rescue is always better than performing one.
I love meeting new people, having my picture taken, and sharing all my best tips for staying safe at sea.
So keep an eye out for me while you’re out and about on the island.
